Whenever faced with a challenge, Wilbur's first resource is drawing.  Work out a shape by looking at it, and once the looking is enough, understanding follows. 

Here are some examples from the archives, some from the sketchbooks of museum visits and from life.  The preferred medium is a charcoal, but sometimes anything goes.
